Beachvolleybal
Queer Sport Nijmegen organiseert tijdens het Rainbow Summer Sports toernooi, zaterdag 21 juni 2025, in samenwerking met volleybalvereniging Keizer Karel ook dit jaar weer het enige queer beachvolleybaltoernooi van Nederland.
We strijken voor de wedstrijden deze keer neer op een andere locatie, namelijk bij strandbar ‘De Honig’ op het terrein van de voormalige Honig-fabriek.
Toernooi
Het toernooi heeft dit jaar ook een iets andere opzet. Alle wedstrijden worden gespeeld door twee spelers (voorgaande jaren werd er ook met drie personen in het veld gespeeld, maar dat doen we dit jaar niet meer). Je mag natuurlijk wel met drie personen in een team inschrijven en elkaar afwisselen.
In de ochtend spelen we korte wedstrijden in een poulefase. Op basis van de plaatsing in de ochtendpoule, spelen de teams in de middag in niveaugroepen verder voor de prijzen.
Het beachvolleybaltoernooi start om 9.30 uur (welkom en opstart om 9.00 uur) en eindigt om 17.00 uur met een prijsuitreiking. Tussen het ochtend- en middagprogramma lunchen we met zijn allen.
Deelname aan het toernooi kost € 37,50 (inclusief lunch). Inschrijving gaat per team. Mocht je extra lunch willen bestellen voor supporters, dan kun je dit aangeven in het inschrijfformulier.
Je kunt bij je inschrijving ook aangeven of je na het toernooi aanschuift voor het diner met andere sporters van Rainbow Summer Sports. We sluiten af met een feest met alle andere sporters bij Marcus Antonius.

Op het terrein van De Honig-fabriek is geen formele kleedruimte aanwezig, maar er is voldoende sanitair en we hebben een (koude) buitendouche tot onze beschikking om zand af te spoelen. Verder zorgen we tijdens de dag voor koffie/thee, fruit en wat energieboosters. Ook zijn er andere verfrissende versnaperingen te verkrijgen (op eigen kosten).

Beachvolleyball
Queer Sport Nijmegen is organizing the only queer beach volleyball tournament in the Netherlands during the Rainbow Summer Sports tournament on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in collaboration with volleyball club Keizer Karel.
This time our beachvolleyball tournamant wil be held at a different location; at Standbar ‘De Honig’ on the former site of the Honig factory.
Tournament
This year’s tournament has also a slightly different format. All matches are played by two players (in previous years there were also three players on the field, but we will not do that this year). Of course, you can register with three people in a team and alternate.
In the morning we will play short matches in a pool phase. Based on the placement in the morning pool, the teams will continue to play for the prizes in the afternoon in level groups.
The beach volleyball tournament starts at 9:30 (welcome and start at 9:00) and ends at 17:00 with an award ceremony. We will all have lunch between the morning and afternoon program.
Participation in the tournament costs €37.50 (including lunch). Registration is per team. If you want to order axtra lunches for supporters, you can mention this in the registration form.
When you register, you can also indicate whether you will join other athletes from Rainbow Summer Sports for dinner after the tournament. We will conclude with a party with all other athletes at Marcus Antonius.

There are no changing rooms on the site, but there are sufficient sanitary facilities and we have a (cold) outdoor shower at our disposal to rinse off sand. We will also provide coffee/tea, fruit and some energy boosters during the day. Other refreshing refreshments are also available (at your own expense).
