Openwaterzwemmen
Spetters Rainbow Swim Nijmegen organiseert op zaterdag 20 juni 2026 weer een openwaterzwemevent tijdens het Rainbow Summer Sports toernooi van Queer Sport Nijmegen. We hopen dat deze editie net zo succesvol en gezellig wordt als eerdere jaren. Dus zwemmers: het water in en trainen voor je persoonlijke ‘best’.
Het openwaterzwemevent is een prestatietocht. De afstand is de uitdaging, hoe ver zwem jij? Na de gezamenlijke start kun je 1, 2, 3, 4, of 5 ronden van 1300 m zwemmen. Je hebt daarvoor maximaal 2 uur de tijd. Je hoeft je ronden niet aaneengesloten te zwemmen. Dus naast prestatie is er ook voldoende ruimte voor gezelligheid! Na afloop krijg je een medaille als herinnering aan jouw topprestatie.

De gezamenlijke start van het zwemmen is zaterdag 20 juni om 10.00 uur. Aanmelden kan vanaf 9.00 uur. We verzorgen ook een warming up en een korte veiligheidsbriefing om 9.50 uur. Om 12.00 uur is het afgelopen.
Deelname kost € 10,00. We vragen je bij je inschrijving een indicatie van het aantal te zwemmen ronden te geven. Je kunt dit op de dag zelf nog wijzigen.
Er zijn sanitaire voorzieningen en er is tent waarin je je kunt omkleden. We hopen natuurlijk op mooi weer.

Diner en feest
Met een dinerticket kun je na het toernooi zoals elk jaar aanschuiven bij het diner om gezellig na te praten met andere sporters.
Zaterdagavond verzorgt Pizza di Valentino voor deelnemers aan Rainbow Summer Sports vanaf 19.00 uur een lekkere Italiaanse maaltijd; een walking dinner ‘as much as you can eat’ met Italiaanse verrassingen en ook voldoende keuze voor vegetariërs. Deelname aan de gezamenlijke maaltijd kost € 27,50. Deelnemers aan het toernooi kunnen voor het diner inschrijven via het registratieformulier. Laat de zon maar schijnen!
Aansluitend kunnen deelnemers van verschillende sporten elkaar ontmoeten bij café Marcus–Antonius in het centrum van Nijmegen.
Dit jaar sluiten we het toernooi af in stijl met een dansfeest tot 4.00 uur georganiseerd door MilQ. We dansen dus door tot in de late uurtjes! Deelnemers aan Rainbow Summer Sports kunnen met korting een kaartje kopen voor dit Queer Pop Dance dansfeest (deur open tussen 23.00-2.30 uur). Open water swimming
Rainbow Swim Nijmegen Spetters organises Saturday June 20 2026 again an openwaterswim-event during the Rainbow Summer Sports tournament in co-operation with Queer Sport Nijmegen. We hope this edition will be as succesful and nice as former editions. So swimmers: get in the water and start training for your personal best.
The open water swimming event is a performance tour. The distance is the challenge, how far do you swim? After the joint start you can swim 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 or of 1300 m. You have a maximum of 2 hours to do this. You do not have to swim your laps consecutively. So besides performance there is also enough room for fun! At the end you will receive a medal as a memento of your top performance!

The joint start for the swim is Saturday June 20 at 10 am. The registrationdesk welcomes you from 9.00 am. We will have a warming up and a short securitybriefing at 9.50 am. The event ends at 12.00 am.
Costs for participation is € 10,00. We ask you to indicate the number of laps to swim when you register. You can still change this on the day itself.
There will be sanitation and a tent where you can change cloth. Of course we hope the weather is briljant.

Dinner and party
Like every year, you can join us for dinner after the tournament and socialize with the other Rainbow Summer Sports participants. On Saturday evening, Pizza di Valentino will serve a nice Italian dinner for participants in Rainbow Summer Sports. Dinner is € 27,50 and starts at 7 pm. You can register for the dinner in het registration form.
After the dinner you can meet participants from other sports in café Marcus-Antonius in the center of Nijmegen.
This year we’re closing the tournament in style with a party organized by MilQ. You can dance dance till 4.00 am at the MilQ-party. Join us and dance the night away! Participants in Rainbow Summer Sports tournament receive a discount on the ticket for this Queer Pop Dance party (doors open from 23.00-2.30 am). You receive a discount code for MilQ in your confirmation email of your registration. You can buy a ticket for MilQ separately via the link below.
